Kerala - Apply or Register for Irradiation Facility License or Permit

Apply Online

  1. The applicant shall visit the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board website in the below link Link
  2. Then select “e-Licensing of Radiation Applications (eLORA)”.
  3. Choose the option “Go directly to eLORA System”.
  4. Click the button “Click to proceed for eLORA Server/eLORA”.
  5. Under the heading “Registration form”, click on the button “Register Institute”.
  6. Fill in all the mandatory details present under the “Institute details” tab
  7. Choose the next tab “Employer details” and fill in the mandatory details.
  8. Choose the next tab “Attachments”.
  9. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page. Upload the documents whichever is necessary.
  10. Enter the Captcha code. Then click on “Submit” button
  11. You will receive acknowledgement message upon successful submission of application form. The copy of submitted application (.pdf file) can be downloaded for which link will be provided. You will also receive an acknowledgement mail with the copy of your application form (.pdf file) in your email (email address as provided in the application form).
  12. Application for Institute Registration will be scrutinized by AERB. After the approval of institute registration by AERB, you will receive user ID and password in your registered email (email address of Employer, as provided in the application form).
  13. The applicant can check the status of the application in the below link Link Click on “Institute registration application”. Fill in the application details and click on “Submit” button.


Required Documents[edit]

  • Proof of identity and date of birth (Acceptable documents are mentioned below)
  • Passport
  • PAN card issued by Income Tax Department
  • Driving Licence issued by RTO
  • Photo identity document/card having serial number and date of birth issued by Central/State Government or PSU
  • Proof of employership (Examples are mentioned below)
  • Appointment Letter of Employer
  • Board Resolution
  • Any Govt./PUC document substantiating proprietorship
  • Partnership deed (notorised)
  • Photo copy of Aadhar Card of employer
  • Photocopy of PAN No Of institute
  • Photocopy of TAN No Of institute
  • Copy of registration with State/Central/Local Government Authority
  • Authentication letter for E-mail Id and Mobile No.
  • Others (Such as MoU/Partnership Deed, etc.)

Note :

  • The institute name and address mentioned in the application form must match with any of the attached document.
  • All these are mandatory attachments. Application form will not be submitted if any mandatory field left is blank.

  • The age of the applicant should be 18 years or above.
  • The applicant should be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant must be owner of an institute before starting the irradiation facility


No fee is required to register for irradiation facility.


It is valid for 5 years after which it has to be renewed.

  • Guidelines to fill application form for Institute Registration is available on e-LORA home page.
  • It is advised to read the guidelines and keep soft copy of required attachments ready before starting to fill the application form.
  • Select type of institute as either ‘Central Government’, ‘State Government’, Private’ or ‘Joint Venture’.
  • Fill the complete name of employer as appearing in his/her document for Proof of Identity/Date of Birth (DOB) to be attached.
  • Fill the DOB as appearing in the proof of identity.
  • For Document/card for proof of identity and date of birth (of employer), select one from the drop down. (Soft copy of this is a mandatory attachment).
  • Document/Card No. (of Proof of Identity/DOB) must match with the proof of identity/DOB attached.
  • E-mail will be used to send USERNAME and PASSWORD of your e-LORA account and for all future communications. So,make sure to provide correct email address.
  • The institute name and address mentioned in the application form must match with any of the attached document.
  • Fields marked with * in the application form are mandatory. Application form will not be submitted if any mandatory field left blank.

Need for the Document[edit]

  • All Irradiation facilities are required to use e-LORA system for obtaining requisite regulatory clearance from AERB. Such institutes must be registered with Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB)
  • It is required to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements prescribed by AERB
