Procedure[edit]
- Fill out the application form and attached the requirements.
- The reception officer checks the requirements, document scanning requirements and issued receipt to an applicant who has met the formal requirements.
- If eligible, the application will be forwarded to the Chief Immigration Officer for approval.
- If the application turns out to be doubtful, the Chief Immigration Officer will conduct a review of the requirements.
- If the application is approved, the applicant must pay the fee to the Treasurer.
- After the payment, the fingerprints and photo will be taken and the signatures will be affixed.
- The registration of the Limited Stay Permit will be printed and signed.
- A completed Limited Stay Permit will be forwarded to the Officer Counters Delivery.
- The issuance of the Limited Stay Permit will be approved by the Immigration Division Chief/Director General of Immigration.
- The counter clerk will record the request and issue a revenue receipt to the applicant who has met the formal requirements.

General Requirements[edit]
- Application form
- Letter of guarantee from the Guarantor, except for Foreigner who is legally married to Indonesian citizen
- Valid national passport and its photocopy
Specific Requirements[edit]
For foreigners with the purpose of investment, working as an expert or perform duties as clergy:
- Of domicile
- Letter of recommendation from the ministry or government agency
- Plan Use of Foreign Workers (RPTKA) from the competent authority
- valid admission
For foreigners with the purpose of conducting a scientific research:
- Of domicile
- letter of recommendation from the ministry or government agency
- Recommendations for the purpose of study / research from the competent authority (Ministry of Education / LIPI)
- valid admission
For children who at birth in Indonesia Region, father and / or mother's limited stay permit holder:
- copy of birth certificate
- copy of marriage certificate or marriage certificate of the parents
- photocopy of passport nationality father and / or mother legal and valid;
- Limited Stay Permit photocopy father and / or mother that is still valid;
- valid Admission
For Foreigners who are legally married to an Indonesian citizen:
- petition of the husband or wife who is an Indonesian citizen
- domicile
- copy of marriage certificate or marriage certificate
- photocopy of proof of marriage reporting registry office for weddings that take place in foreign countries
- photocopy of identity card spouses of Indonesian citizens that are still valid
- family card photocopy spouses of Indonesian citizens;
- valid signatures
For children of the Stranger legally married to an Indonesian citizen:
- letter of request from the father and / or mother who is an Indonesian citizen
- domicile
- copy of birth certificate
- copy of marriage certificate or marriage certificate of parents
- photocopy of identity card or mother's father Indonesian citizen that is still valid
- family card photocopy father or mother that are Indonesian citizens
- valid signatures
For Foreigners who joined the husband or wife of a limited stay permit holder:
- letter of guarantee from the Guarantor
- domicile
- copy of marriage certificate or marriage certificate
- Limited Stay Permit photocopy of husband or wife
- valid signatures
For children of foreign nationality who joined the father and / or state of Indonesia:
- letter of request from the father and / or mother who is Indonesian citizen
- domicile
- a birth certificate
- copy of marriage certificate or marriage certificate of parents
- photocopy of identity card fathers and / or mothers are citizens of Indonesia (still valid)
- photocopy family father and / or mother is a citizen of Indonesia
- valid signatures
For children under the age of 18 (eighteen) years of age and unmarried:
- letter of guarantee from the Guarantor
- domicile
- copy of birth certificate
- copy of marriage certificate or marriage certificate of parents
- photocopy of passport nationality of father and / or mother (legal and valid)
- Limited Stay Permit photocopy father and / or mother (legal and valid)
- valid signatures
For Foreigners former Indonesian citizen:
- letter of guarantee from the Guarantor
- domicile
- evidence of not becoming a citizen of Indonesia
- valid signatures
For foreign travelers elderly:
- letter of guarantee from the Guarantor;
- domicile;
- sponsor letter from the Bureau designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism
- valid signatures
For the captain, crew, or foreign experts on board a ship, floating equipment, or installations that operate in the territorial waters and the Indonesian jurisdiction:
- letter of guarantee from the Guarantor
- crew list, signed by the captain and known by the Immigration Officer at Immigration Check Point
- photocopy of passport nationality who have given Signatures, and
- recommendation of government ministries or agencies involved
