India - Loan Termination of Hypothecation for Vehicles

Procedure

• Obtain NOC from your bank stating that loan is completely paid and vehicle registration number must be mentioned.
• Download form 35 from Parivahan Website Form 35
  Remember that RTO does not accept generic forms. You have to first register your vehicle in Parivahan website and then go to online services -> Vehicle related services->hypothecation termination. Supply all the details in the form. Then you will be able to get the Form 35 personalized for you.
• Make two copies of form35 and get it attested from your bank. (submit copy of NOC, RC, Insurance and an ID proof) (2 copies)
• Upload the scanned form 35 along with RC, NOC and insurance on Parivahan website
• Pay the fee (Rs 0) online and print the receipt
• Take an appointment with the RTO and print the confirmation
• Take a file folder and arrange documents in following order

a. Two copies of form 35

b. RC (original)

c. vehicle insurance copy

d. NOC from bank (original)

e. ID & Address proof (self-attested)

f fee receipt

g appointment confirmation print

• Submit file to RTO
