In Person

• Carry the electricity bill invoice to the electricity board office of your area.
• Pay the amount in cash at the counter. You can also pay using Demand Draft.
• You will get an acknowledgement for your payment, keep it handy.

Each state has its own website which is linked with a third party service provider such as banking, bill junction for paying the electricity bill. Check the URL and then proceed.

You should be an Indian citizen and your age should be of 18 years.

The electricity bill varies from usage of watts, residential type such as urban area, rural area, and municipality, land, apartment, individual building. Each state has its own pricing system.

Validity

You should pay the electricity bill on a monthly basis. Hence, the document is valid for a month. If you do not pay the amount regularly, late fee is levied.
