Apply In-Person:
- The applicant has to reach out to National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) for the application. Contact details are mentioned in “Office Locations & Contacts” of this page. Or here is the Contact Link

- The applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
- Applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the form and attach the photocopies of the documents that are needed along with the application form before submitting.
- The fee for this procedure has been mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
- An application must be received by NMFS not after June 15.
- IPQ permits are issued annually to eligible persons who hold Processing Quota (PQS).

- Applicant must provide all information necessary for application procedure online.
- Applicant should make sure to upload digital copies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
- The fee for this procedure has been mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
- An application must be received by NMFS not after June 15.
- An application will not be processed or approved unless the applicant meets all of the Crab Rationalization Program's requirements and restrictions, including (as necessary) paying all outstanding fees to NMFS by July 31.

- The applicant, who joined a crab harvesting cooperative, must apply to ensure that they are listed on the cooperative’s application(s) for annual crab harvesting cooperative IPQ permit.
