Procedure

  1. Submit the required documents at the Area Offices of Akrotiri and Dhekelia
  2. Fill in the application form
  3. Application can be done by the either of the parent or Parents' legal representative (legally empowered)

Eligibility

  • Birth certificate is issued to any child born in Akrotiri and Dhekelia
  • Whether born to foreigner or citizen birth certificate will be issued

Instructions

  • Birth must be registered within 42 days of the child being born.
  • If you can�t register the birth in the area where the baby was born, you can go to another register office and they will send your details to the correct office.
  • Most births are registered at the hospital

  • Place and date of the birth
  • Name, surname and sex of the baby
  • Parents� names, surnames and address
  • Places and dates of parents� birth
  • Date of parents� marriage or civil partnership


Need for the Document

Akrotiri and Dhekelia is a British Overseas Territory on Cyprus. Area Offices of Akrotiri and Dhekelia.is responsible for Issuing birth and death certificates for civilian residents of the SBAs. Each Sovereign Base Area has its own Area Office, i.e. the Area Office Akrotiri, for the Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri (WSBA) and the Area Office Dhekelia, for the Sovereign Base Area of Dhekelia (ESBA).
