ProcedureEdit

The Contracted Professionals System (CP2) is an integrated electronic system to automate the management of officers who are recruited to assist KNEC in administering the examinations. The main aim of the system is to ensure that KNEC captures correct, accurate, and timely details of all the personnel who are involved in the supervision, invigilation, and management of examinations. Apply Online
Step 1: Register with the KNEC contracted professionals’ portal (New Users):

  1. Eligible applicants should browse the KNEC contracted professionals’ portal by using the address KNEC contracted professionals’ Website
  2. Hover the cursor over “Create Account” and click on the hyperlink; to generate the interface for registering into the contracted professional system.
  3. Applicant should then proceed to, enter their mobile phone number in the format 2547….., confirm the mobile phone number (by re-entering it) and click on the Create Account” tab.
  4. A successful account creation notification message will be displayed on the screen.
  5. The system will automatically send the applicant a message containing, he/her login details (user name and password) as well as the link to access the CP2 system to the phone used for creating the account.
  6. Upon receiving the message, revisit the KNEC contracted professionals’ Website and Procced to log into the Portal by entering the User Name (which is in the format) 2547….. and secret password and click on “Log In” tab.
  7. Once logged in, the user is required to create a profile; by providing their personal and other required information like Full name, Year of Birth, Gender, National ID Number, KRA PIN Number, Email, Highest Qualification, Current Work Station and Next of Kin Details. Then click on the “Save” tab.
  8. For Already Registered Users, enter your login credential (User Name & Password) and then click on the “Log In” tab, to access the contracted professionals’ home page, updating existing details (where necessary) before proceeding with the application for a job vacancy and online submission.


Step 2: Apply for a Job as a Contracted Professional

  1. Select the correct information by clicking the drop-down Menus under the Jobs /vacancy.
    • Job vacancies are grouped for selection based on the specific examination, activity type, duty station, position/ designation (role), county, and sub-county as indicated in the “C” section on the site.
  2. Select the drop-down labelled 1 to 6 under section “C”. The number of positions (job vacancies) available for the selection made by a contracted professional will be displayed after clicking the “search” button.
  3. To apply for a specific job, the applicant will receive a feedback message for the specific job that the contracted professional has selected showing the details and the number of positions available will be generated.
  4. Click on the highlighted feedback, message to confirm the application for the job. The interface for confirmation will be generated, and follow the prompt as required.
  5. Read the details displayed to ensure they are accurate before submission of the job applied for. You can go back and select the correct details if need be.
  6. Click the “check box” highlighted to confirm the application for the job selected, then click the “Submit Application” button, to complete the job application process.
  7. The system will automatically display “Thank you for submitting your application”. The application shall be reviewed and the applicant shall be notified shortly!” will be displayed.
  8. The time frame for processing the request/application is within a few minutes and they are no fees associated with this service.
  9. Users should ensure they log out of the system when they are done with the application process. This is to avoid unauthorized access to a third party(s) who may manipulate the information.
