Apply In Person
- To Register with Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), the applicant should make the application to the KASNEB office or at the following Huduma Centres; Nairobi GPO, Nairobi Kibera, Nairobi Makadara, Kisumu, Kisii, Eldoret, Meru, Nyeri, and Mombasa. Applications can also be made at any training institutions offering KASNEB courses and Kenya National Library Service branches countrywide. - To obtain the registration application form, visit any KASNEB service center mentioned in step one above and collect the application form in person or download the application form through the KASNEB website, or directly via this Application form.
- Read and complete the application form correctly and then obtain all the required supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the documents to the completed form in a single file.
- Then the applicant should pay the application fee as mentioned in the “Fees” section below and obtain the payment slip and attach it to the application dossier.
- Then the applicant should visit any of the KASNEB service centers mentioned in step one above and submit the application dossier to the KASNEB officer at the registration desk.
- The KASNEB officer will evaluate the application to determine if the applicant meets the required standards for registration and if the applicant is completed as required.
- Once the application is verified and the applicant qualifies for the registration, the KASNEB officer will register the applicant and issue the applicant the registration number.
Apply Online
- To register with the Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), the applicant should go to the KASNEB website and click on the “e-kasneb” hyperlink located at the top-right of the webpage to go to the Student Portal.
- On the portal, an applicant who already has an account should enter his/her Email Address and Account password to log in and for a new application, the applicant should click on the “Signup Now” hyperlink next to the question; Don't have an account?.
- Upon clicking on the Signup Now hyperlink, the applicant will be directed to the account sign-up page.
- Then the applicant should enter his/her name as it appears on his/her National ID, Birth certificate, or Passport and then click on the “Next Step” button to go to the Address section.
- Enter the required phone number and email address and click on the “Next Step” button to go to the Identity section.
- On the identity section, the applicant should enter his/her National ID number, Birth certificate number, or Passport number and click on the “Sign Up” and a pop-up notification button will appear urging the applicant to confirm if he/she would like to proceed with the submission. To continue, the applicant should click on the “Yes, Proceed!” button and then the system will create the account and require the applicant to click on the “Ok” button. Note that login credentials will be sent to the applicant’s email address.
- The applicant should then go to his/her email address and open the inbox email from KASNEB and obtain his/her password.
- Once the password is obtained, the applicant should go back to the KASNEB student portal enter his/her registered email address and password, and click on the “Login” button.
- Once logged in, the applicant will be directed to the profile updating page which is the final section of the registration.
- Then the applicant should enter his/her national ID number, Postal address, postal code, county of residence, city/town, and upload a passport size photo and a copy of his/her Identification Card in the attached document field then click save changes.
- The system will then upload the provided details and activate the applicant’s account.
- Once the account is activated, the applicant should now register for KASNEB examinations pay the necessary fees as mentioned in the “Fees” section below.

EligibilityEdit
A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the professional examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C+ (C plus) provided the applicant has obtained a minimum of grade C + (C plus) in both English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
- Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) level or equivalent qualifications.
- KASNEB technician, diploma, or professional examination certificate.
- A degree from a recognized university.
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade C in 6 papers with C in both English and Mathematics.
- Such other certificates or diplomas as approved by KASNEB.
A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the diploma examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C- (C Minus) or equivalent qualifications.
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade D.
- Any other KASNEB technician or diploma examination certificate.
