ProcedureEdit
An electricity token (prepaid) meter is a type of electricity metering system that allows consumers to pay for electricity in advance. Unlike traditional postpaid meters where users are billed for their electricity usage after the fact, prepaid meters require users to purchase electricity tokens in advance and load them onto the meter to access electricity.
