Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To remove or amend a trademark license, you should make your application to the Jamaica Intellectual Property Office (JIPO). Please view the JIPO office location map and contact details via this link: - JIPO contacts.
2. Visit the JIPO office to obtain the amendment form or you can download the form from the JIPO website: - Amendment form
3. Read and complete the application form as instructed and attach all the required supporting documents to the form.
4. Then go to the JIPO office and pay the necessary amendment fee at that cashier and obtain the payment receipt.
5. Submit the application to the JIPO official at the service desk for verification.
6. The official will check if the application is complete and forward it to the responsible authority.
7. JIPO will assess the application to confirm if it meets all the required merits.
8. After a successful assessment, JIPO will amend the request changes and update their registry data.
