Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for the International Seabed Authority (ISA) Endowment Fund forTechnical assistance, you should submit your application to the address provided in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section below
2. Obtain the application form by downloading it from the ISA website through this link either in PDF or as a word document:Link
3. Complete the application form correctly. Note that you should check “Technical assistance” in section B of the application form
4. Refer to the checklist for Information required for Technical Assistance provided in Part B (III) of the application form to ensure that you have provided the required information
5. Then submit a soft copy of the application to the Secretariat of the ISA through the email address: [email protected] and prepare seven hard copies of the application and submit them in person to the Secretariat of the ISA
6. After receiving your application, the secretariat will forward it to the Advisory Panel
7. The Advisory Panel will evaluate the application to determine if it has the required elements to be considered for funding
8. After evaluating the application, the Advisory Panel will send their recommendation to the Secretary-General of the ISA recommending to award the funds for the Technical assistance
9. The Secretary-General will assess the recommendation of the Advisory Panel and approve the award of the funds
10. You will then be notified of the successful application through your contact details and the funds will be disbursed to your account

Required Documents

• Application form both in soft copy and 7 hard copies
• The curricula vitae of all consultants who are proposed to provide the technical assistance
• An itemized statement of the estimated costs for which assistance is requested
• A statement on the extent to which the proposed activity is consistent with the purposes and objectives of the Fund

Eligibility

Scientists, Researchers, and technical personnel who have three to four or more years of experience in a relevant field for marine scientific research are eligible to apply

• For your application to be considered for evaluation, it must have all the required details and attachment mentioned in Part B (I) of the application form
• You should report to the secretariat of the ISA on the use of the funds provided, the outcomes of the assistance provided, and on the results obtained
• You should submit your application three months prior to the commencement of your project
