Ivory Coast - Obtain Authorisation Certificate to Import Day-Old Chicks, Hatching Eggs or Incubators

Apply In-Person:
- Gather the following required documents (listed below) and visit the Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH), Department of Livestock Productions (DPE) / Sub-Department of Supply and Market Regulation office.
- Collect the application form, fill it accurately, attach the supporting documents and submit them to be for verified and processed.
- Pay the required application fees at the DSV cash counter, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
- The Department of Livestock Productions (DPE) will dispatch an inspector/health office to the facility premises for inspection to determine if all the good storage, distribution, manufacturing , safety equipment’s, ventilation, suitable of the facility location, employees have the right working gear/knowledge, drainage system ,availability of water e.tc)
- A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required rectify the problem.
- Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the inspection team to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation (where applicable).
- An Inter-ministerial Commission (chaired by the Ministry in charge of Trade) meets at least 3 times a year to examine the report finds and issue the certificate of authorizations for import to applicants who have meet the required conditions as set for the application.
- If the committee is satisfied that all the conditions for filing the application are met, your application will be approved.
- You will be notified of the outcome by mail or phone and issued with the authorization certificate by the register.

- The list of authorized companies/individual are published annually in the government gazette by the inter-ministerial order.

- Handwritten request (addressed to the President of the Commission of Accreditation - Decree n ° 93-312 of March 11, 1993 -
- Certificate of Identity (Identity Card or Residence Card) valid
- Extract from the Criminal Records dating back less than three (3) months. (Court of the place of residence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs for foreign nationals).
- Extract from the Commercial Register with a mention relating to the profession applied for.
- Certificate of Location of the place of practice (Town Hall of the municipality concerned).
- Manager's Inspection and Counter Visit Certificate with pulmonary radio (Public hospitals)
- 4 identity photos of the manager.
- List of employees.
- Employee Visit and Counter Visit Certificate and Pulmonary Radio (Public Hospitals)
- Certified copy of the Diploma (optional).
- File of the manager responsible for the company including all the documents cited above.
- Declaration of Fiscal Existence (DFE) - Taxes.
- Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Veterinary Inspection Service at the Department of Veterinary Services, DSV).
- A receipt for the payment of fees relating to requests to the Veterinary Services Department (DSV).
