Ivory Coast - Apply for Veterinary Inspection Certificate for Imported Living Animals and Animal Products

ProcedureEdit

  1. Upon arrival of the imported living animals and animal products at the point of entry (airport/ port/at the broad) in Ivory Coast, the imported goods will be subjected to an inspection by the Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH) Directorate of Veterinary Services / Veterinary Sanitary Inspection and Control Service at the MIRAH borders.
  2. The forwarder will then collect the request form from the custom office, fill it accurately attach the supporting documents (listed below) and submit them to them to Phytosanitary Service office for verification.
  3. Pay the required application fee, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
  4. An inspector will be dispatched by the Veterinary department to inspect the goods at the port and write a report findings and take samples for test analysis.
  5. The report findings, test analysis report and the application files will then be forward to the veterinary chief officer of the phytosanitary for further processing and decision making.
  6. If the Veterinary Chief of the Phytosanitary Service is satisfied that the animals and animal products do not pose any health risk and meet the quality criteria of Ivorian standards, you will be issued with the veterinary inspection certificate.

  • Complementary certificates (non BCE).

  • Analysis results.
  • Inspection report (inspection report of the physical control of the goods).
