ProcedureEdit
- There are established criteria for eligibility to receive a veterans licence plate. Persons who wish to avail of this program are required to contact the Royal Canadian Legion who administer the application process.
- Once forms are approved by the Royal Canadian Legion, applicants can receive a veterans plate from local Motor Registration offices across the province.
- Veteran plates will only be issued for use on passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles less than 4500 kg. To receive a Veteran plate this application form must be certified and submitted, with the required registration application and fee to your local Motor Registration Office.
- Your regular "A", "H" or "C" plate must be removed from the vehicle and the veteran plate attached to the rear of the vehicle. When the vehicle is sold, the veteran plate is removed and the regular plate re-attached. The veteran plate can then be registered to your next vehicle.
