Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Renewal of Pesticides Registration in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) office.
2. Address and contact details can be found in the following page. Contact link
3. Then, the applicant can get their application form for chemical disposal permit.
4. Read through the application form carefully as it contains different section.
5. Make sure that they have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. Applicant will be issued with the prescribed fee invoice, visit any ECOBANK branch near the applicant with the invoice and make the payment.
8. Complete the application form with required details and the information in the respective fields and sections.
9. Attest it with the applicant’s signature and attach the required documents with the completed application form.
10. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the EPA office for verification and processing.
11. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the renewed license.
12. When the license is ready to be collected, the applicant will be notified by the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
13. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 15 days.

Note: All fees charged are payable at any ECOBANK Ghana Branch by presenting the invoice issued by the Agency to the bank.

Eligibility

• Any person who possesses registered Pesticides in Ghana, can apply for a renewal if its validity period is about to expire and he/she intends to extend the registration period.

Validity

• License is valid for a period of 1 year and renewable thereafter.

• Where originals (documents) are in another language, copies should be presented together with certified English translations.
• To maintain applicant’s license status, the facility shall be inspected annually to ensure that the facility remains in compliance with the license requirements.
