Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Renew for Pest Control License, the applicant must go to the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) in Ghana Link
2. Applicant has to approach the environmental protection agency in Ghana and applicant can get their application form for Pesticides storage facilities license.
3. Read through the application form carefully as it contains different section.
4. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per as authority’s request.
6. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the EPA office for verification and processing.
7. If all the above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their license.
8. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
9. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
10. The Processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

• Is storage facility available? (yes/no) if yes indicate the size

• Type of display facility at storage/retail premise
• Method and place of final disposal of obsolete pesticides (please elaborate)

COMMERCIAL APPLICATORS, PEST CONTROLLERS DETAILS:

• Numbers and type of pesticide application equipment
• Have you had any professional training in pest control? (yes/No). If yes provide evidence of the training.
• Presence of personal protective equipment (PPE) (yes/no), if yes provide list and type of PPE
• Method of storage of pesticides and unused chemicals
• Method of disposal of used pesticide containers and excess chemicals
• MANUFACTURES AND FORMULATORS/REPACKAGING DETAILS:
  • Types of pesticides to be formulated/repackaged or manufactured
  • Production capacity per annum
  • Type and sources of raw materials
  • Type of packaging of products
  • Type and quantities of waste generated (solid, liquid and gases)
  • Describe waste management practices
  • Declaration

Need for the Document

• No person shall use any premises, or being the owner or occupier thereof permit or allow the premises to be used, for the purposes of manufacturing, formulating, packaging, selling or storing, pest control products unless that person is in possession of a license issued under the Regulations in respect of those premises.

• All fees charged are payable at any ECOBANK Ghana Branch by presenting the invoice issued by the Agency to the bank.
• When submitting any supporting documents, please label the documents as indicated in this part. (e.g. Attachment A, etc.)
• If the space provided on the application form is not sufficient, additional information required may be provided on a separate document and attached.
