Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Grade I Nursery School License in person, the applicant has to approach the Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters.
2. Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link.
3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the GES department.
4. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
5. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the GES office.
8. The department concern will verify his/her application and approve the applicant application form.
9. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
10. The applicant after seeing the notification can go to the GES office and applicant get the certificate.
11. Maximum Processing Time for this procedure is 5 days.

• ID Proof of the Applicant (PAN/DL/Passport/Bank Passbook)
• Address Proof of the Applicant (DL/ Passport/Bank Passbook)
• Passport Photograph (for single owner) or Jt. Photography (for Jt. Owners)
• Clearance from Trade office for non-nationals.
• Original Certificate of Incorporation of the company for new business.
• Original rent and tenancy agreement from the Land lord for the new business.
• Original trading License for the previous year for already existing business.

• Any registered school with the Ministry of Education who wish to obtain a Grade I Nursery School License can apply for this application.

• Fees for this procedure- 135,000 GHS.
