Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Substituted Certificate in person, the applicant has to approach the Ghana Land Commission office. Contact link
2. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents are necessary for completing this procedure.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant from while submitting it at the office.
6. A Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their certificate search.
8. They can visit the office and get their certificate after getting that notification.
9. Generally, the processing time for this procedure 1 month.

• The Substitute Certificate enables someone to substitute for any regular classroom teacher for up to 30 consecutive school days. Obtaining a Substitute Teacher Certificate requires the same level of preparation as a regular teaching certificate.
