Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Stamping in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Land Commission office. Contact link
- Visit the office and obtain an application form from the relevant department.
- Make sure that applicant has all the documents in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under the relevant sections. Attest it with the applicant’s signature once completed.
- Once completed filling the application form, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
- After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
- Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the permit.
- When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
- Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 1 month.
Apply online
- Go to the online website link
- In the given new window, click “login/register” button under “Login/Register to Avail following Facilities” on the left part of the screen.
- User will reach login page. Please enter “User Name”, “Password” and “Captcha” as appropriate and click “Login” button.
- If the applicants are a new user, then user please use the “Don’t have account, register…..” option to reach registration page. Complete the page prompts as appropriate and click “Register” button to register and then login.
- Once login, in the given page click “Correction in personal details” button.
- A new page prompts user to choose either “Self” or “Family” as per requirement. Please choose as per requirement and click “Next” button.
- User shall also select the language of choice.
- In the new page please enter the Part number and Serial number at the prompted space. Make entries which require changes or correction. Fill the required details correctly.
- Upload relevant documents as applicable. Please enter email ID, Phone number and other details as applicable.
- Enter the Captcha at the prompted space and click “Submit” button to apply online.
- A system generated reference id will be displayed as acknowledgement.
- Save this id safe for the future reference to check the status.
- This application will be processed by the department.
- The internal process will be initiated to verify the details.
- Applicant gets notification about the Regularization of State Land on the different stages of process.

- The financial instrument being submitted for stamping must clearly show the following:
- Date of the instrument
- Signature of party/ parties
- Notary public seal (mandatory only if document is not original)
- Consideration of facility
- Land cases being submitted for stamping must clearly show the following:
- Title of document clearly stated
- Date of document
- Names and address of the parties
- Consideration rent, term/commencement date
- The following information on site plan must be the same in document: (i) name of owner, ii) land size and location of land)
- Licensed surveyors and director, survey and mapping division’s signatures and date.
- Document must be original or certified true copy or photocopy with an affidavit
- Back of the site plan must be signed by the parties
- Signature of parties
- Signature of witnesses of parties with address
- Jurat (if document is thumb printed, etc.)
- Solicitor’s seal
- Oath of proof must be executed
- Deponent must be completed by grantor’s witness

- Signature of party/parties
