Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Sand Crete Block Manufactures License in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Ada East District Assembly (AEDA) office contact link
2. Applicants should obtain the required application form from the Ada East District Assembly Office.
3. Applicant must be filled all information in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
6. Submit the document set along with required/applicable fee to the receiving authority.
7. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place submitted application will be accepted.
8. Applicant will be provided with receipt for submission of application.
9. This application will be processed further by the department.
10. For the verification process a date is fixed applicant gets intimation from the department about the application progress. Follow the notification.
11. There will be inspection cum verification process from the department authorities on a scheduled date.
12. The premises will be inspected by the concerned the Officer and original documents will be verified and security deposit if applicable would be collected.
13. This application along with inspection/verification report will be submitted to the issuing authority/controller of legal metrology concerned.
14. Based on the advice and report the registration process will be completed,
15. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
16. If approved, the certificate will be issued as per applicable norms.
17. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 60 days.

• Identification document (ID card, Passport, Birth certificate )
• Site Master File (SMF) of the facility. This shall include a sketch of the location plan of the establishment indicating a clear direction with identified landmarks to locate the facility
• Technical Management Agreement with any Organisation
• A certified true copy of Certificate of Incorporation and Certificate of Commencement of Business
• Building Plans showing plant installations
• Architectural engineering permit issued by the District, Municipal or Metropolitan Assembly where the facility is located.
• Payment receipt.

• The Ada East District, formerly Dangme East District and was created in 1989 by Local Government Instrument, L. I. 1491.  By subsection (one) of section 3 of the Local Government Act, 1993 (Act 462), a new district (Ada West) was carved out of Dangme East with a new Local Government Legal Instrument (L.I 2130) a new  district which was established and  known as Ada East in June, 2012 with twenty seven electoral areas.
