ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Radio and Television Repairs License in Ghana, the applicant must go to the National Communication Authority or Ministry of Communications or Ada East District Assembly contact link
  2. Information related to the MOC office and the License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page Contact link
  3. Applicants should obtain the required application form from the authority.
  4. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
  5. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  6. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  7. Produce the application letter at the relevant department and the authority in-charge will issue grant for obtaining the required forms.
  8. Obtain the forms from the relevant department and complete it with respect to the requirement by filling appropriate details in respective spaces provided.
  9. After completing, the forms and required documents must be submitted to the Director General of the Commission.
  10. The submitted documents will be processed by the commission and forwarded to the Board of Commission through the Minister of Information and Communications if those documents are found eligible for recommendation.
  11. Then, the Board will send it to the President who will consider the matter as applicable and if approved, the applicant will be informed to pay the prescribed fees as directed.
  12. And, he/she will also be required to sign a license agreement with the authority after which an appropriate frequency will be allocated to the applicant as per his/her request.
  13. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 60 working days.
