Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Early Birth Registration in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the ADA East District Assembly office or Birth and Death Registry Headquarters office.

3. Applicants can get their application form from the relevant department.
4. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
5. Applicant must make sure to carry all the necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
6. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant from while submitting it at the office.
7. A fee for this late Birth Registration is free of cost.
8. If all the above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their license.g
9. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the BDR office.
10. If the verification is successful, notification will be sent to the applicant.
11. After seeing this notification, the applicant must go to the respective office and the applicant can get their registration certificate.
12. Applicant’s birth certificate will be ready after 14 working days.
