Fiji - Obtain Approval for Permanent Exemption

Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain the approval for permanent exemption, the applicant must visit the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Fiji. Contacts
2. The “Approval for Permanent Exemption Permit” application form must be obtained from the authorities in the LTA office, or else you can download it from the official website. Application form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and then along with the required documents it should be submitted to the CSO – Customer Service Officer.
5. After checking the application form, the CSO officer will forward it to the Team Leader and regional manager in LTA office.
6. The team leader and the regional manager will verify the permanent exemption application.
7. If the details and the documents are correct, the authorities will approve the application form.
8. After that, you have to pay the application fee.
9. The application fee for this is $ 9.48 and the exemption permit fee is $19.90.
10. Further, the details of the permanent exemption application details will be updated in the LTA office’s system.
11. After the fee payment, the authorities will issue the exemption permit to the applicant.
12. The processing time will be intimated by the authorities in the Fiji LTA office.

Eligibility

• The permanent exemption permit is only given to persons to which the government of Fiji has approved.
• These people may by expatriates or diplomats.
• If the applicant is from overseas, then they are eligible to apply if they have a overseas registration certificate.
  

Fees

• Application Fee - $9.48
• Exemption Fee - $19.90
• Total = $29.38
  

Validity

The permanent exemption permit is valid forever.
