Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for Obtaining a Radiation Premises License is available on the Radiation Protection Authority in Ethiopia contact link
   
2. Applicant has to get the application form from the respective office.
3. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
4. Make sure you have all the documents mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting the application form.
6. Fee for this procedure is given the “Fees” section of this procedure.
7. After the verification/ validation of document is done, the board will issue the license within one month.

Fees

• Application fee – 100birr.
• License fee – 300birr.

Validity for the license is one month.

Need for the Document

In order to protect the public, radiation workers and the environment from dangers arising from use of ionizing radiation, the Radiation Protection Board requires that anybody who intends to set up a new radiation facility apply for a premises license.
