Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain License to Produce, Export or Import Controlled Substances (Industrial Chemicals, Pesticides, Fertilizers and Drugs) in person, the applicant has to approach the General Organization for Import and Export Control (GOEIC).

3. The applicant will have to prepare an application letter as a request for the License to Produce, Export or Import Controlled Substances (Industrial Chemicals, Pesticides, Fertilizers and Drugs), addressed to the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.
4. The application should have an attention note to the Director of the Chemical Evaluation and Research Directorate and must have duly signed by the Superintendent Pharmacist of the company.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Attach all the required documents with the application letter, and then submit it at the any nearest Animal Health office.
8. After submission, the application and accompanying documents are subsequently reviewed and verified.
9. If the application and attached documents are found sufficient, Permit will be processed.
10. For unsatisfactory application/documentation, a Compliance Directive is issued to the applicant company.
11. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will inform through phone or email to collect it from the office of the Director, CERD in the NAFDAC Office complex.
12. In the meantime, the applicant can also check with the office regarding the status of the application.
13. The processing time for this procedure is 21 days.

Eligibility

• Any company in Egypt, that intends to produce, export or import Controlled Substances (Industrial Chemicals, Pesticides, Fertilizers and Drugs), can apply.
• The applying company must have a valid proof or registration.

• Application fee for this procedure is EGP1, 000.

• This document is valid for three months.
