Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain a Single Advertisement License or Permit, the applicant must approach the Ministry of Local Development contact link
2. Visit the office and obtain an application form for Single Advertisement License or Permit from the respective department.
3. Make sure that the applicants have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Complete the application form with the required details and the information under respective sections.
5. Attach the required documents with the completed application form and submit it to the relevant official at the office.
6. Pay the required processing fees by following the instructions of the officials.
7. After submission, the application along with the attached documents will be forwarded for further verification.
8. Once all the internal processes are over, the application will be approved and the applicant will be notified through phone or email regarding the cancellation.
9. Meanwhile, the applicant can also check with the office regarding the progress of the application.
10. When the notice of cancellation is ready to be collected, the applicant can collect it by any means from the office.
11. The Processing time for canceling an Advertisement License is up to 20 to 25 working days.

• Evidence of registration of the product i.e. letter or certificate
• Two samples of the product as registered.
• Proposed script, example story sketch/storyboard for radio & TV and artwork for billboards.
• Audio and video if the applicant so desire to facilitate the vetting process
• Evidence of Payment of Required Fees
• Authorization letter

Eligibility

• The advertisement must be for a registered product, unregistered products are not eligible for advertisement.

Fees

• Pay the required processing fees by following the instructions of the officials.

Validity

• Approved advertisements are valid for one year from the date of approval.

Instructions

• The Authority may require an applicant to supply such further information as it considers necessary in relation to the application.
• A license can only be granted if the applicant meets and continues to meet such minimum financial and other requirements as may be prescribed by the Authority.
• The Authority may grant a license to such conditions or restrictions as it thinks fit and the Authority may, at any time by written notice to a license holder, vary any condition or restriction or impose further conditions or restrictions.
