Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain a Copy of the Mechanical Marriage Registration, the applicant must approach the Arab republic of Egypt.

4. Application form can be obtained from the respective office on a visit or can be a written one as advised
5. Fill the Application form duly signed by both husband and wife. Submit it to the receiving authority along with the required documents and fees as advised.
6. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
7. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
8. The submitted application will be recorded in the registry after verification. Applicants will be provided with the receipt for the submitted application.
9. Applicant will be asked to come to the premises on a scheduled date to complete the registration.
10. On the said day, both parties, along with a respective Officer who attended their marriage, need to be present before the registrar.
11. Please follow the guidelines of the authorities to complete the formalities for registration.
12. Applicant and witness will be asked to sign on the registry to endorse their marriage.
13. The Certificate will be issued on the same day for the already solemnized marriage.
14. In case of the application made in advance (before marriage) for the issuance of the certificate, authorities will look for any objection from the public for thirty days and then the process will be executed on the day of marriage by an assigned authority and the certificate will be issued as applicable.
15. The entire process will take 45 Days from the date of application.
