Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To join Private Insurance Fund, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Health and Population authority link
2. Information related to the respective authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
3. After the applicant have researched different policies and compared prices and benefits of health insurance scheme in Egypt.
4. Applicant can decide to apply online or off this will depend on the applicant. Start by filling out an application form for the scheme, the applicant should gather information will likely need when filling out an application.

6. A fees for this procedure is free of charge.
7. International Insurance packages can be purchased specifically for the length of their stay in Egypt.

Eligibility

Citizen of Egypt who follow in this category can Access the health insurance scheme facilities if they have a national identification Card.

• The widows are eligible.
• The Students are eligible.
• The security organs of Egyptian are eligible.
• The Employed persons can also access the insurance scheme through premium deduction from their Monthly Salary.
• The Curative Care Organization scheme is specifically for Egyptian officials like the governorates (Egyptian, Alexandria, Port Said, Kalyubia, Damietta and Kafr el Sheikh).
• It contracts with individuals, companies and government agencies for the provision of care and arranges premiums accordingly.

Fees

The scheme is free of charge to the following category of people.

• Students

• Government employer
• Salaried employer from Private sector if registered.
• Security Personnel
• Government officials and government agencies
• Registered individuals
• Others are required to pay but the prices varying accordingly.
• International Insurance packages can be purchased specifically for the length of your stay in Egypt.

Validity

• Valid for period of 1-2 years depending on the circumstances.
• However if he/she is holding international health scheme.
• It can be renewed if you decide to extend the applicant stay in Egypt.
