Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get License or Permit for Furniture, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

3. The applicant should obtain the application form from the authority.
4. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
5. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
6. Once the application form and any relevant supporting information/documents have been completed, signed, stamped, and certified where required.
7. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
8. The applicant has paid the correct fee and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
9. After receiving the application and documents, the authorities will check the submitted document set.
10. Authorities will process this request either manually or digitally using the computer for electronic processing all the required documents will be scanned.
11. Authorities will issue an acknowledgement receipt for submission of application. Please collect it and please keep it safe for future reference.
12. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
13. Once the verification of all the documents and application has been done, the applicant will be informed through phone or email to collect the final license within 30 days.
14. The processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

Eligibility

• Citizens and non-citizens who are above the age of eighteen (18) years and Who intends to Furniture businesses, can apply for this application.

Fees

• The non-refundable processing fee is EGP 100.00.
• The license fee is EGP 1500.00

Validity

• The license is valid for one year from the date of issue and renewable thereafter.

• Do not submit fake documents as a proof to obtain this certificate.
• Incomplete application will be rejected.

Need for the Document

• The furniture license must be cleared by customs to be allowed exit from Surrey County as required by law.
• Any establishment or business would require a license to operate. Hence it is mandatory to secure a license for a Furniture business. The Egypt government usually issues a License. Any individual having a license can carry out the operations of a business without any disruptions.
