Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get License or Permit for Food Preparations, the applicant has to approach the Egypt Ministry of Health Contact link
2. Information related to the respective office and License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
3. Application form should be obtained from the respective office.
4. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. Please refer to the fee's details in the “Fees” section of this page.
6. Please complete each section of this application form as a Word document then submit a printed version of the completed form, along with the supporting documents to the authority for verification and processing.
7. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents are necessary for completing this procedure.
8. The authority will dispatch an inspector to the facility premises for inspection to determine if Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Storage Practice (GSP) during the packing, processing, storage, labelling, sterilizing, testing, dispatch, quality control, and quality assurance of the products.
9. A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required rectify the problem.
10. Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the inspection team to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation (where applicable).
11. If the Expert committee formed by the authority are satisfied that all the conditions are meet as required for the application, the applicant will be notified of the outcome and issued with the license by the register/authorized official.
12. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

Eligibility

• Must be a registered vegetable dealer/trader/farmer/agriculturist under the Government of Egypt.
• Must have registered the product with the Health Authority.
  

Fees

• Application fee of EGP 1000.00 (non-refundable)

Validity

• The license is valid for one year and renewable thereafter.
