  • The accreditation allows the Registration Authority to perform specific functions related to digital certificate issuance and management, including identity verification and enrollment of certificate applicants.

Information which might helpEdit

  • ICP-Brasil is the Brazilian Public Key Infrastructure, responsible for regulating and overseeing the issuance and use of digital certificates in the country. Registration Authorities play a crucial role in the ICP-Brasil framework as they act as intermediaries between individuals or entities requesting digital certificates and the Certification Authority (CA) that issues the certificates.

OthersEdit

  • Entities within the ICP-Brasil framework, such as Certification Authorities, are responsible for issuing and managing digital certificates.
  • However, there may be instances where an entity no longer meets the necessary requirements, or there are issues related to their compliance with the regulations and security standards established by ICP-Brasil. In such cases, the Accreditation Authority may initiate the deaccreditation process.
