Apply In Person

  1. To Obtain Authorization of Warehouses, Terminals and Enclosures for International Transit of Products of Agricultural interest, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. Then the application will be processed further.
  10. MAPA will conduct inspections and evaluations of the applicant’s facility to assess compliance with the required standards.
  11. These inspections may include assessments of infrastructure, equipment, operational procedures, and documentation. Be prepared to address any deficiencies or make necessary improvements based on the inspection findings.
  12. Ensure that the applicant’s facility complies with the sanitary requirements for handling and storing agricultural products. This may involve implementing measures to prevent contamination, maintaining proper temperature and humidity control, and adhering to specific protocols for the types of products being handled.
  13. Provide training to the applicant’s facility's personnel to ensure they are knowledgeable about the handling and storage requirements for agricultural products.
  14. This includes training on hygiene practices, product handling techniques, quality control procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  15. Once authorized, it is essential to maintain ongoing compliance with the regulations and requirements set by MAPA.
  16. This includes regular inspections, adherence to operational protocols, and timely updates or renewals of the applicant’s authorization as required by MAPA.
  17. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

To be eligible to obtain authorization of warehouses, terminals and enclosures for international transit of products of agricultural interest in Brazil, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
