- The application for a Pharmaceutical Technologist License shall be made to the Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC), whose mandate is registering, licensing all health professionals and is under the Ministry of Health and Awareness (MoH) office.MoH Map location & Contact Details
- Applicants are required to collect the BHPC Registration Form and fill out all required sections accurately. Forms are available at the Enquiries Desk at any of the BHPC offices or download it via the MoH website Regulatory Services (Form is located under the Botswana Health Professions Council section) or directly download it using this link-BHPC Registration Form
- Submit the completed application form, attached to the supporting documentation as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page, to the BHPC registrar's office. Any omission of the required information and documents will render the application incomplete.
- Upon receipt of the application, the registrar will check for discrepancies or ineligibility in the application documents. If a discrepancy that cannot be immediately corrected exists in any of the documents, the application and all the submitted documents will be returned to the applicant and should not be re-submitted until the discrepancy has been rectified/ corrected.
- If the registrar is satisfied that all the requirements have been met for the application, he/she will register the application and the applicant will be issued with an acknowledgment slip as a proof of submission of the application and for inquiry referencing if the need arises.
- The application file will then be forwarded to the Botswana Health Professions Council committee board for assessment and evaluation.
- Applicants will then be summoned by the BHPC and required to take a written test and interview by the BHPC committee board.
- After the examination, the applicant will be required to pay an application fee of BWP 30.00 and obtain a payment receipt.
- Successfully applicants, who have passed the interview and examination, will be registered with the BHPC, the BHPC registrar shall prepare and issue to the applicant the registration practice certificate/license as a Pharmaceutical Technologist that shall be valid for a specific period and shall indicate the approval scope and limitation.
- Notice of the decision (Approval, Deferral, or Rejection) for the application will be communicated to the applicant in writing or by phone.
- While collecting the license, the applicant will be required to produce their identity document and approval letter to be validated by the registrar at the specific office where the application was filed and the proof of payment of the prescribed license fee.

- Certified copy of passport details (non-citizens) or Omang (citizens).
- Four passport size photographs [there has to be an endorsement for true likeness].
- Certified evidence of change of name or surname [if applicable].
- Certified copy of the certificate of qualifications.
- Certified copy of evidence of internship (for graduates who are registering for the first time) or transcript.
- Current curriculum vitae.
- Application letter.
- Certified copy of Current Practicing License and Registration Certificate.
- Original of certificate of good standing from previous registration body (not more than 6 months old).
- Two recent professional references (Originals in headed paper or letterhead, not more than 6 months.).
- All applicants from non-English Speaking Countries must show, proof of proficiency in English (having passed the IELTS test, attained an overall score of 7 or greater).
- Certified copy of residence permit, or work permit, or waiver (if applicable).
- Notes:
- All documents must be in English.
- Every document must be certified by the Commissioner of Oath.

FeesEdit
Application fee (BWP 30.00) need to be paid after completing the examination.
ValidityEdit
- The validity of the license shall be mentioned on the permit and shall remain valid for that specified period unless suspended, cancelled, or revoked by the authority.
- Before expiring, the license is subjected to renewal.
