  1. Health posts clinics program is an initiative by the Ministry of Health and Awareness that aims in educating people in the awareness and prevention of AIDS/HIV whilst also providing much-needed health and medical services.MoH Contact & Map Details.
  2. Health posts clinics are set up within each district at strategic locations. Their activities included family planning, health education, growth monitoring, nutrition support, eye problems, immunization, and treatment, particularly of diarrhoeal diseases and awareness and prevention of AIDS/HIV.
  3. Persons that need to utilize these services should visit the Health Post Clinic near them and merge into a single line. Each member of the post clinic is responsible for a small station serving a very specific function, from patient registration to vaccine administration to HIV testing and counselling, etc.
  4. Each patient will be examined, tested, and diagnosed, or Counselled, and advised either by an MoH midwife, mental health nurse, eye nurse, doctor, or lay counsellor.

Ministry Business hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm and 2:00 pm -5:00 pm, closed during Public Holidays.

NOTE: Hours of Operation: Public Clinics operate weekdays from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm with a nurse on call available after hours, weekends and holidays. Some public clinics operate 24 hours.

  • Citizens and non-citizens of all ages are eligible to obtain these services.



FeesEdit

  • General consultation for locals is 5 Pula. Children under five years of age and elders above 65 years do not pay consultation fees.
