Apply In-Person
- To apply to Participate in Constituency Art Competition, interested participate should visit the nearest Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development (MYSCD) at the District Councils and Sub District Council offices, upon Call for applications submission opening; by the ministry through the public gazette or other varies advertising media. District Councils and Sub District Council offices address
- Visit the MYSC District office in your area; with supporting documents and express your interest to participate in Constituency Art Competition at the department concerned office.
- Collect and complete the Constituency Art Competitions Registration Form. Forms are available for free at the service desk at any of the MYSCD district offices or directly download it using this link Application Form
- The completed Application forms, attached to the supporting documentation;(as listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page), should be submitted to the nearest MYSCD District Office in the region you wish to complete and not at Head Office before the submission deadline.
- The receiving officer will then verify that all the necessary documentation and information have been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria before registering the application file.
- The applicant will then be issued an acknowledgment letter with a reference number by the MYSC agent.
- All application files will be forwarded to the Constituency Committee concerned for assessment and processing which is within 2 months.
- Approved applicants will be registered as participates of the competition and notified of the outcome by phone or in-person by the MYSC district office, where the application was filed and given further instructions.
- Note:
- The competitions are held twice a year between August and March, during the third and fourth quarters of the financial year

EligibilityEdit
Applicants should meet the following requirement to be eligible;
- Citizens of Botswana.
- Only out-of-school youth groups are allowed to register for this competition.
- No institutional groups are allowed.
- Groups registering for these competitions must only register and participate in one category.
- Groups must attach copies of ID's for all participating members of the group. The maximum age for the competition will be 35 years of age; Groups unable to photocopy their ID's must come with originals at the competition.

Rules of the Competition
- Only OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH groups are allowed to register for this competition.
- The Judge's decision is final.
- Groups are not allowed to use Primary, Secondary School, and Tertiary students.
- Time on stage: Drama (20 minutes); Traditional Dance (10 minutes) and Dikhwaere (10 minutes)
- No Institutional groups will be allowed to enter the competition.
- Any member of a group found drinking alcohol, carrying any drug substance, or being a nuisance in the premises of the competition, will be disqualified and sent away from the competition together with the group.
- Groups must only register and participate in one category. Serious action will be taken against those taking part in different categories, wards, and constituencies.
- No cross movement is allowed per category and per ward for the whole year.
- Groups registering for these competitions must submit a list of names of the participating members of the group and their I.D numbers. These competitions are open to people ages 16 to 35.
- Groups unable to duplicate their IDs must bring their Omang card to the competition (in rural/remote areas only).
- In instances where there is only one group per ward, the group will be given the chance to present in front of the judges.
- Participants obtaining less than the minimum percentage score will not qualify to the next level. Similarly, they will not get the prize money even if they are in positions 1, 2, or 3. The minimum percentage score is 50%.
- The competition is only open to people with monthly earnings of P1000.00 or less and any three (3) people earning P3000.00 and below.

Need for the DocumentEdit
The Constituency Arts Competitions commenced in 2010 and aim to nurture talent and provide leisure and recreation for young people. The objectives of the program are to unearth talent, particularly amongst the youth; keep youth meaningfully engaged to avoid substance abuse; promote artistic talent as well as provide leisure activities for youth.

- The Competition runs in two cycles at the ward level and constituency level.
- The prize money ranges between P1000.00 and P3000.00 at ward level, whereas at constituency level, prize money ranges between P2000.00 and P5000.00.
