Apply In-Person
- To apply for Radio License certificate, the applicant has to visit the Bahamas Maritime Authority. The address and contact details can be found in the following link: Address Details
- Visit the office and get an application form for Radio License certificate or download the form by tapping on this link: Application Form
- Complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections.
- Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
- Pay the fees as per the authority’s quote.
- The application will be forwarded for verification.
- Once all the internal processes are over, the applicants will be notified regarding the collection of the license certificate.

ValidityEdit
This Licence shall continue in force in respect of each Licensee until the earlier of the following events:
- the Licensee is removed from the Register by URCA;
- the Licence is revoked pursuant to section 27 of the Communications Act.

InstructionsEdit
- The Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number is programmed in the Electronic Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) equipment.
- If the vessel that an MMSI is assigned to changes Registry, another MMSI must be obtained from that register.

The radio license certificate allows radio installation in ships and serves as proof that it is done in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA), the ITU Radio Regulations and Regulations for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
