ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person

  1. The students willing to attend university or study for professional qualifications will have to qualify the BJC exams.
  2. Visit the following link for Contact Details:Link.
  3. Registration procedure is different for Private institutions and In-School Candidates.
  4. For In-School Candidates:
    • All schools shall register in-school candidates for BJC examinations in May/June the following year by December.
    • Students can collect the BJC entry form from the Ministry of Education Head Office.
    • The student pays the Fees in cash at the Ministry of Education Cashier's Unit.
    • Submit application form along with the proof of payment.
  5. For Private Candidates:
    • Students can collect the BJC admission form from the Ministry of Education's headquarters.
    • The student pays the Fees in cash at the Ministry of Education Cashier's Unit.
    • Candidates from the Family Islands may pay fees at any Local Administrator's Office through the Cashier's Unit.
    • Submit application form along with the proof of payment.

EligibilityEdit

The BJC is open to grade nine pupils in public secondary schools and anyone over the age of ten in private institutions. Additionally, private candidates must be at least 16 years old to sit for the exam.

FeesEdit

In-school candidates must pay the following fees in order to register to write BJC.

  • An entry fee of BS$5.
  • A subject fee of BS$5 per subject

Private candidates must pay the following fees in order to register to write BJC:

  • An entry fee of BS$5.
  • A subject fee of BS$10 per subject


Fees must be paid in cash at the Ministry of Education Cashier's Unit (see address below), which is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, except public holidays.

Private candidates based on the Family Islands may pay fees at the Cashier's Unit at any Local Administrator’s Office, also open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, except public holidays,

ValidityEdit

The final Friday in January each year is the deadline for completing registration, which includes payment of the fees indicated in the section below.
