EligibilityEdit
- The legal age to get married in Montana is 18 years old.
- For under age applicants, you must be at least 16 years old and parents or a judge consent, as well as pre-marriage counseling are required.

ValidityEdit
A marriage license is valid for 6 months and can only be used in the state of Montana.

- Both parties must be present in front of the clerk.
- For non-resident applicants, marriage license application can be obtained from the clerk in the county in which the ceremony will be performed.
- For one party who is a non-resident, his or her part can be sworn to or affirmed in the county and state in which he or she resides.
