  • Military ID
  • DD-214

Required InformationEdit

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Residence address

Need for the DocumentEdit

The veteran ID cards serves as proof that an individual is a veteran in the State of Delaware, so that businesses can opt to recognize the contributions of those veterans who have faithfully served the country and represented the State of Delaware.

The ID card also affords the veteran protection, as they will no longer have to carry a DD-214, which contains sensitive information, to prove their veteran status in order to obtain the benefits provided by local businesses.

Following are procedures on how you can apply for a Veteran ID card in Delaware.

Information which might helpEdit

Please note that a veteran ID card is not a military ID card and does not entitle veterans to all military benefits. Veterans would need to contact the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to determine the federal benefits in which they are entitled.

Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit

Please explain what are other uses of obtaining this document/certificate.
e.g. Birth Certificate can be used as proof of identity.
