Eligibility

A person who are:

• Domiciled in the United States
• Domiciled in the United States, even if temporarily living outside the United States
• Not currently domiciled in the United States, but the applicant will establish a domicile in the United States on or before the date of the child's admission to the United States for permanent residence as a Convention adoptee

Fees

• The total amount of cost for Determination of Suitability to Adopt a Child from a Convention Country is $775.
• $85 fee for biometrics is required for each person 18 years of age or older who is living with the applicant.
• The application form cost is about $385.
