Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for requesting for Shifting or Moving (Change Address) of Electricity (EB) Meter, Service Line or Meter Premises of electricity supply, the applicant needs to approach the Electricity Department – link
2. The applicant has to get the form from the respective office.
3. The applicant has to enter all the details in the application form.
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. The authorities will conduct a quick survey and provide an estimate of the amount to be submitted.
7. The applicant needs to pay the estimated amount or any additional custom deposits or development charges to the authorities.
8. The officer will verify and the EB meter.
9. The processing time for this procedure is within 2 weeks.

• Identity Proof submitted along with this application form:
  • Electoral identity card
  • Passport
  • Driving license
  • Ration card
  • Photo identity card issued by Government agency
  • PAN card
  • Photo Certificate from any village level Government functionary
  • Aadhar Card
• Proof of ownership of occupancy for which electricity connection is required
  • Copy of registered sale deed or lease deed or in the case of agricultural connections a copy of 7/12, 8-A and hakk patrak (6-A)
  • Municipal tax receipt or Demand notice or any other related document;
  • Letter of allotment
  • An applicant who is not an owner but an occupier of the premises shall, along with any one of the documents listed at (i) to (iii) above, also furnish a No Objection Certificate from owner of the premises.

• Shifting of LT lines: 30 days
• Shifting of 11KV lines: 60 days
• Shifting of 33KV lines: 90 days
• Shifting of 33/11 KV Distribution Transformer structures: 90 days
