- Step 1 : First one has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure, please visit the following link : Required Documents to get permission for Film Shooting
- Step 2 : To start your application process, you first need to create an account on the FFO (Film Facilitation Office) website : Apply Online.
- Step 3 : In this create account page enter all the required details.

- Step 4 : After filling all the necessary details, enter the captcha and click the “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 5 : You will be redirected to the Login Page with the message “Your account has been created successfully.Please activate your account by clicking on the link sent on your email.

- Step 6 : Go to your email and click the activation link sent by FFO which is pointed out by a “Red” arrow in the below image.

- Step 7 : Once you click on the activation link on your email, you will be redirected to the login page again with the message “Your account has been successfully activated.”

- Step 8 : Now enter your email ID & password in ‘USERNAME’ & ‘PASSWORD’ and then enter the captcha in the textbox which is highlighted in “Green” as shown in the image. Then click the “Login” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image.

- Step 9 : Your dashboard will open now.

- Step 10 : Scroll down to Click on “Start New Application” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image.

- Step 11 : Now, fill out the application form for seeking permission for film shooting across various States in India.
- Step 12 : The next step is to upload the documents. The application form for seeking State level and local permission will ask for the information/documents mentioned on the “Required Documents” section below.
- Step 13 : The application form contains three sections such as Production Details, Line Producer and Shooting Details and you are required to fill each section one by one. (You can click the “Save Draft” button whenever you want, to continue the process at a later point of time).

- Step 14 : After filling the necessary details to upload the “SYNOPSIS (IN ENGLISH)” click on the “Choose File” button which is highlighted in “GREEN”.Then click the “Next” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to go the second section “Line Producer”.

- Step 15 : In the Line Producer section enter all the required details and upload all the necessary documents.

- Step 16 : After filling the necessary details to upload your PAN and AADHAR card image click on the “Choose File” button pointed by a “GREEN” arrow and then click on the “Next” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image to go the third section Shooting Details.

- Step 17 : In the Shooting Details section enter all the required details.Upload “Equipment Details” form by clicking on the “Choose File” button pointed by a “GREEN” arrow. To know the format of the “Equipment Details” form, click on the “Download Sample Format” button highlighted in “RED” in the below image.

- Step 18 : After filling the necessary details Shooting Details section, click the “Submit” button which is highlighted in “Red” in the below image. Or you can click the “Save Draft” button which is highlighted in “Green” in the below image to save the filled in details and submit the application later.

- Note: Before submitting your application, please ensure all the required documents & information are given correctly, as you cannot make any changes after submitting your application.
- Step 19 : After submitting the application and acknowledgement message will be shown as “Application has been submitted successfully”

- Step 20 : After submitting the application, it will be sent to the appropriate State Nodal Officer/s, whose contact information will be sent to you.
- Note: If you want to make any changes after submitting your application, you may communicate them directly to the State Nodal officer, whose details are available on the portal in your dashboard and is also shared with you on email.
- Step 21 : Depending on your region, the State Nodal officer/s will contact you regarding the processing of your application and payment of costs. If the Nodal officers of the State/s do not respond, you may contact the FFO office for further information.
- Step 22 : Once the permission has been granted for the specified States/UT, the Nodal officers will upload the Permission letter to the FFO web portal.
