Procedure

Apply In-person

1. Approach the nearest CSC centre and ask them for guidelines on how to obtain a license as a water tanker distributer.
2. Use the following link to find the nearest CSC centre. Link
3. The applicant has to get the application form from the respective office. Enter details, such as name, address, GST number and other required information.
4. The applicant will have to attach documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Make sure all the given details are correct.
6. Make a fee payment, the fee-related details are mentioned under the “Fees” section of this page.
7. The applicant will receive an application number, save this number in case the applicant wants to track their application.
8. Once approved, the applicant can collect the certificate from the CSC centre.

Apply Online

1. Go to the official website, here is the Official website
2. Click on “Apply for permanent goods transport permit”.
3. The applicant will see an application form, fill it out with relevant details.
4. Attach the document as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant will have to make the fee payment.
6. The applicant will get timely updates through SMS.
7. Once it has been approved, you will be notified.
8. The applicant can download it from the same website or opt to collect it from the RTO.

Apply Online

1. To be able to distribute water in Jharkhand with a water tanker, it is mandatory to obtain a license from FSSAI.
2. You will have to visit the official website of FSSAI.
3. Here is the FSSAI
4. If you have login credentials you can log in.
5. If you do not, follow these steps:
   • On the top right, click on “Sign up”.
   • You will be directed to another page where you will have to enter your name, email, mobile number, login ID and password.
   • Enter captcha.
   • Click on Sign up.
   • A verification code will be sent to your mobile number and email ID.
   • Enter these codes and your account will be created.
   • Now, go back to the login page and log in.
6. Once you log in, on the left, click on “License registration”.
7. Click on “Apply for new registration”.
8. Select the state, in this case, it will be Jharkand.
9. Under “trade/retail” click on “Transportation”.
10. You will have to select how many tankers you have, now click on proceed.
11. Click on “click here to…”.
12. Enter details such as your GST number, address, pin code, state sub-district.
13. Once done, click on save and next.
14. The applicant will have to upload the documents.
15. Make fee payment.
16. Once payment is completed, you will receive an acknowledgement slip along with an application number that can be used to track your application.
17. The applicant can download the application once it has been approved.

Required Documents

For Permit:

• Valid Mobile Number
• Scanned copy of Registration Certificate (RC) for Vehicle
• Scanned copy of valid insurance certificate of the latest vehicle
• Scanned copy of valid pollution certificate
• Scanned copy of valid vehicle fitness certificate
• Other supporting documents/ information

For FSSAI certificate:

• Photo
• Government-issued photo ID such as AADHAAR, PAN, Voter ID etc.
• Proof of Address of Businesses activity (if an address is other than as mentioned in Photo ID Card)

Eligibility

• The applicant must be 18 years old or above.
• The applicant must have a driver’s license.
• The applicant’s vehicle must meet all safety standards.

Fees

For FSSAI certificate:

• Central license: Rs 7500
• State license: Rs 2000
• Vehicle registration: Rs 100

For permit:

• You will have to make a fee payment which will be conveyed to you by the authorities.

Validity

• FSSAI certificate is valid for a year.
• A state permit is valid for a year.
