Apply Online

  1. Please use the link to reach online portal Parivahan : online portal link
  2. Enter the registration Number as prompted and hit “PROCEED”.
  3. New screen will open to give options to choose. Choose “Misc (TO/CoA/HPA/HPC/HPT/DupRC)” to get new screen.
  4. Enter your Chassis (Last 5 digits) number and click the button next to chassis number box.
  5. User has to fill in the mobile number to receive OTP. Please hit respective tab after entering mobile number in the box provided to get OTP. Please enter the received OTP to get the next page.
  6. Next page provides information for the registration number that we provided. If required, user has to make the payment as directed using the payment gateway option. If payment is not required at this stage, user will have to select appropriate option to go to the next page.
  7. The next page gives receipt for the transaction completed.
  8. Use this receipt to continue this process directly at the RTO office.

Apply in Person

  1. To apply for a vehicle mortgage in Karnataka the applicant has to approach the RTO office of the area. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office: Contact Link
  2. You will have to submit application form making an entry of an agreement of hire-purchase/lease/hypothecation subsequent to registration office in Form No.34 in front of registering authority.

  4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down in the “Required Document” section of this page.
  5. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  6. Present the completed application forms at the registration counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

  • Duly filled in form number 34 in two copies, which are signed by the registered owner and financier.

  • Certificate(NOC) from earlier financier if any for having retained full dues from the financier
  • Proof of address
  • Valid insurance certificate
  • Pollution under control certificate
  • Attested copy of PAN Card or Form 60 & Form 61(as applicable)

  • Chassis & Engine Pencil Print
  • Signature Identification of owner
  • Fitness Certificate in case of Transport vehicle.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Mortgage is a process to raise funds for ones need against the vehicle (in our case).
  • This mortgage details will be recorded in the RC Book.
  • This procedure is required to safeguard the interest of the money lender (Banks / Private financiers / Individuals) for the money given as loan.
  • Mortgage contract is made between bank and the borrower, this agreement allows bank to lend money to the borrower in exchange borrower agrees to repay the money lent as per the agreement.
