Zimbabwe - Obtain a Copy of Birth Certificate

Procedure

Apply from outside Zimbabwe

To apply you have to visit the nearest Zimbabwean Embassy.

You will be provided with an application form. You have to fill this out and submit it back to the embassy.
Embassy forwards the application to the appropriate authorities and you will be contacted related to the application.
You will have to pay a fees when submitting the application.

Apply from inside Zimbabwe

Visit any District Registry Office or the Central Registry (Makombe Building) in Harare.
Complete the application form for a duplicate birth certificate.
Pay the fee at the counter.
If the record is digitized, you can often collect the "long-form" computerized certificate the same day or the next.
