ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. Renewal of Nuts and Oil Produce Dealer Registration is done in person by visiting the Agriculture and Food Authority Board Head Offices in Ghana.

  3. A Renew Nuts and Oil Produce Dealer Registration certificate expires on the 30th June of every year and certificate holders wishing for renewal thereof may apply by 1st June preceding the expiry of the registration.
  4. Application form should obtain the respective office.
  5. Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
  6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  7. The completed renewal application form submitted to the respective office.
  8. This will be followed by an inspection of applicant by the Board field Officers.
  9. Recommendations based in findings of the investigation will be made to the Nuts and Oil Crops directorate’s Board Headquarters for final approvals Board approval.
  10. At this point the applicant is notified if their license has been successfully renewed or which rectifications have to be made for their license to be renewed as a Nuts and Oil Produce Dealer.
  11. Upon a successful renewal approval the nuts and oil produce dealer registration applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay the renewal registration fee of to the authority and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
  12. Once the renewed registration process is done, the Nuts and Oil Producer Dealer Registration Certificate is issued to the applicant.
  13. New certificate takes a maximum of 15 days to process.

  • returns of pyrethrum stock dealt with in the previous year
  • Identification Cards/ Passport Number of the applicant
  • Ghana Revenue Authority Pin No. certificate
  • A tax compliance certificate from Ghana Revenue Authority for the non-natural person or individuals where applicable.
  • Copy of valid EPA Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Audit Certificate where applicable.
  • Copy of Public Health’s Food Drugs and Chemical Substances License where applicable.
  • Copy of valid County Government’s Single Business Permit.
  • Any other requirements that may be prescribed by the Authority from time to time.

  • Any person, cooperative society, group or company whose license is expired can apply for renewals.


FeesEdit

  • Renewal Application fees is GHS 1,000 (Non-refundable)
  • Renewal registration fees for Traders/Retailers/Marketing Agents GHS.,000
  • Renewal registration fees for Transporters/Distributors GHS. 3,000


ValidityEdit

  • The certificate is valid for a period of one year.
  • The certificate expires on the 30th June of every year.

  • Application for registration should be sent to the County where the nursery/mother block is located.
  • This form shall be accompanied by the prescribed fees and submitted to the County government.
  • The application shall reach the Authority within 15 days of approval by the county government.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • A Nut and Oil produce dealer registration certificate authorizes the holder to conduct the business as a dealer in nut an oil produce products in Ghana.
  • No person can act as a nut and oil produce dealer unless he is the holder of a current registration certificate issued in respect thereof by the Board after consultation with the Director. Therefore dealers need to renew their certificates to continue with operations. Therefore dealers needs to renew their certificates to continue with operations

  • This Certificate is Valid for 1 year from date of issue.
  • This Certificate is not Transferable to any other person, or nursery site.
  • All Certified planting materials which are not distributed during the certification’s period will be subject to re-inspection.
  • To establish or operate a horticultural crop nursery or a mother block in any area, that crop nursery or mother block must be registered by the directorate through an application made in the prescribed form and accompanied by a non-refundable fee.
  • If the applicant is successful, the directorate shall issue a certificate which is renewable annually, subject to site inspection.
  • The application and fee is submitted to the Horticulture Crop Development Authority which is the government’s agency for the horticultural sector.
