Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for exporting of cashew nuts is available in Tanzania Ports Authority contact link
2. Applicant has to procure the prescribed application form for this service from the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Cashew nut buying license is available in the Cashew Nut Board of Tanzania contact link
5. Submit an application for getting a radioactivity analysis certificate from the Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission : contact link
6. Obtain a pre-clearance documentation by the help of a clearing agent and book shipping space with shipping line and obtain TRA self-assessment document online through the TANCIS system.
7. Register and apply for the phytosanitary certificate online through the Agriculture Trade Management Information System (ATMIS).
8. Applicant has to attach photocopies of required documents along with the application form and submit it to the relevant authority.
9. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
10. If all above-mentioned procedures are followed properly, the applicant can get their export document within 8 to 20 days.
