ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. Application form for getting a permit or license for Tea Import in Tanzania is available in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries contact link
  2. Applicant should make sure to provide all necessary information in the application form.
  3. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
  4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents and whichever original document is needed along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
  6. Fee for this procedure is TZS 7,596,747.28
  7. The applicant will be notified regarding the availability of permit within 29 to 66 days.
  8. Applicant can visit the office and collect their permit once they got the notification.
  9. If there is no notification provided by concerned authorities even after 29 to 66 days, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

Any individual or a business owner in Tanzania who is willing to import Tea from any other country to Tanzania is eligible.

FeesEdit

Fee for this procedure is TZS 7,596,747.28

Import permit is valid for 3 months.

InstructionsEdit

  • A person shall not import Tea out of the country without a valid import permit issued by the Director.
  • Applicant must provide genuine information while applying for this procedure.
  • Applicant should make sure to follow all instructions provided by concerned authorities properly.
  • Applicant must complete the application form filling, before submitting, incomplete applications will be rejected.

  • Name of the Manufacturer
  • Signature and Stamp of the supplier
