Apply In-Person:
- To apply for a Freelance Artist Tax Directive in person, the applicant should visit the office of the South African Revenue Services.
- The address and contact details of any nearest SARS branch can be found in the following link: Link
- Visit the nearest SARS branch and obtain an application form for Tax Directive Freelance Artist from the relevant department. Or click here to download: Link
- Also get cleared about the required documents to be attached and any requirements to be accomplished for the process.
- Complete the form as required with relevant details under respective sections. After completing the application form, attach the required documents with the completed form.
- Then, proceed to submit the completed form to the relevant authority at the office in person for further processes. Make the necessary payment as directed (if any).
- After submission, the completed form and corresponding documents will be put into further verification and validation processes.
- Once all the processes got completed, the authorities will perform necessary actions for the Tax Directive issuance process as per the applicant’s request.

- Any freelancing artist, who wants to apply for and obtain a tax directive, can apply.
- The person applying must have registered as a taxpayer and possess a Income Tax Reference number.

Application forms must be completed in capital letters with full information and legibility. This prevents forms from getting rejected by the officials.
