To obtain a veterinary license in Singapore the applicant should apply of Licence to Treat Animals and Birds
Apply online
- To Obtain a Veterinary License, the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal link
- Enter a search “Licence to Treat Animals and Birds” then click on "Add to selection"> click on "Review and Apply" and then click the "Proceed" button.
- The applicant to login either with singpass app or Singpass Id number and password
- Note: If you do not have an account you can register by clicking on register for singpass, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.
- The applicant has to necessary information and submit the required document that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
- After submitting the documents review the application and click submit.
- Fee for this procedure is about S30 through debit or credit card.
- After successful payment, the applicant will receive the hard copy of license via post within 14 days.

- Scanned copy of applicant's veterinary degree certificate (certified true copy)
- Scanned copy of applicant's veterinary qualification certificates
- Scanned copy of letter of good standing from Veterinary Authority in the applicant's last country/region of residence/ practice. Fresh graduates are exempted
- Scanned copy of curriculum vitae
- MOM employment pass/ approval letter
- Letter of employment/endorsement
- Passport Size Photo
- Supervisor’s Letter of Endorsement

Need for the DocumentEdit
- A veterinary licence from AVS is required to practise veterinary medicine in Singapore.
Information which might helpEdit
- American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) or the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC) accredited universities are generally acceptable for licensing in Singapore as well as RCVS-accredited veterinary schools in the UK. Veterinary degrees from the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and veterinary degrees from US veterinary schools (AVMA-accredited) are generally recognisable. Membership to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) obtained by virtue of EU Directive 2005/36/EC is not recognised.
- Veterinarians who graduated from non-recognised universities may still be eligible for licensing based on passes in the RCVS Statutory Examination for Membership; North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE); Australian National Veterinary Examination (ANVE) or the New Zealand Veterinary Examination (NZNVE).
